Minoritised Life Scientists Future Forum (MLSFF) Code of Conduct
The Minoritised Life Scientists Future Forum (MLSFF) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Exhibitors, sponsors, and all participants are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors and sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing, uniforms, or costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, MLSFF organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of MLSFF staff immediately. MLSFF staff can be identified by their official conference badges. You may also contact the conference organisers via email at [email protected].
MLSFF staff will be happy to assist participants in contacting venue security or local law enforcement, providing escorts, or otherwise helping those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance and your participation.
We expect participants to follow these rules at all MLSFF event venues and related social events.
