WH Pierce 1999: Joint award D Besra and Simon Park

Simon is a senior lecturer in molecular biology at the Department of Microbial Sciences at the University of Surrey.

His research focuses on Campylobacter jejuni, the leading cause of foodborne illness in the UK, and how this pathogen responds to nitric oxide. He is also a renowned artist, inhabits the hinterland between science and art.
