WH Pierce 2001: Stephen On

Stephen is associate dean of research at Lincoln University, New Zealand, Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Projects include Arcobacter, bacteriocins, and antibiotic resistance; future projects advanced photonic methods for characterising bacteria. From ‘87 – ’94, Stephen was Senior Scientist at Central Public Health Laboratory at the National Collection of Type Cultures.

He was awarded the WH Pierce Prize for his work on taxonomic and epidemiological typing methods for Campylobacter spp.
