Christine is chair in food microbiology, Faculty of Science, School of Biosciences, University of Nottingham
Christine's research interests focus on the characterisation of microbial populations at the species and sub-species levels using cultural and molecular approaches and in understanding the factors influencing their composition.
Christine has a long association with SfAM and was previously a main committee member from 1990-1993, and 2010-2013. She was the president from 2014-2017.
