WH Pierce 1997: SJ Foster

Simon Foster is professor of molecular microbiology and faculty director of research and innovation at the University of Sheffield.

Simon works on the molecular physiology of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). His research has concentrated on a number of areas including stress responses, vaccine development, essential genes, host-pathogen interaction and cell wall architecture/dynamics.
